My name's Rachel and I am a visual artist based in West Yorkshire. I grew up in Derbyshire and was very spoilt by all the beautiful countryside. Fortunately, I still live fairly close to some beauty spots in Yorkshire which makes me feel very happy!

  I have always created art and craft type things from being a small child and as I've got older; got married, had children and lived life a little more, art has become an even more important part of life for me. 

   I paint a variety of subjects including landscapes, seascapes, flowers and more abstract pieces. I try to create a feeling in a painting, not just an observation. Often, the artworks created come out of a sense of awe and wonder which in turn brings a sense of peace and hope - hence the name of my website - Art of Hope.
